Scenic Drives and Natural Wonders
Travel from Taipei to Taroko Gorge, cruising through Taiwan’s longest highway tunnel (12.9 km) and along the breathtaking East Coast Cliff Highway. Here, you’ll trek through Taroko National Park, marveling at the stunning marble gorge before settling in at Lakeshore Taroko. From your accommodation, savor the spectacular view of the vast deep blue Pacific Ocean, framed by majestic mountains.

Journey Through Taiwan’s Heart
Continue your adventure to Sun Moon Lake via the picturesque Central Cross-Island Highway and Wulien on Mt. Hehuan, the highest point of any highway in Taiwan (3,275 m above sea level). Day 1: Taipei
Arrive at Taoyuan Airport (TPE). To be transferred to hotel by car/van (without guide)
Free at your own leisure for the day.

*The clients may use One-day Taipei Metro Pass for unlimited rides to the MRT (metro) accessing to the attractions they want to visit on their free day.

Day 2: Taipei
Use your 1 Day Taipei Double-Decker sightseeing Bus ticket to explore Taipei! The validity period of the ticket is from 09:10-19:50 (Hop on and hop off in the daytime. Go on Red or Blue Line without any limitations) The Red Route takes in Taipei 101, Huashan 1914 Creative Park, etc. The Blue Route takes in the Shilin Official Residence, National Palace Museum, etc. There is onboard Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean audio-guide information.

Blue Route
• Shilin Official Residence
Featuring exquisite Chinese garden-style landscaping, with Western-style flower gardens blended in, there is a wonderful spring rose bloom here each year, plus chrysanthemum, orchid, and other exhibitions when in season.
• National Palace Museum
The NPM has approximately 690,000 cultural treasures in its collection, most from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, including paintings, sculptures, books, and other precious artifacts. This is a must-visit spot when in Taipei.
Red Route
• National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
The memorial hall is well known for its blue and white exterior. It hosts regular cultural-arts exhibits and a popular hourly changing-of-the-guard ceremony. On its two sides are the National Theater and National Concert Hall.
• Xinyi & Yongkang Intersection(Yongkang Commercial Area)
Near MRT Dongmen Station, this area is renowned for its unique shops and diverse dining, such as Din Tai Fung's xiaolongbao , noodle dishes at Yong Kang Beef Noodles, and shaved ice with mango. The neighborhood also has many cafés of character.
• Taipei 101
This skyscraper is Taiwan's most iconic landmark. In the mall at its base are global-brand boutiques and premium restaurants. The entire city can be taken in at a glance from the 89th floor Observatory.
• Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (MRT Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station)  
This old tobacco-factory complex has been transformed into a thriving cross-domain creative experimentation space blending cultural-creative, performance, and commercial functions. Culture vultures love the constant cultural-arts performances and exhibits and onsite Eslite Spectrum Songyan Store.
• Huashan 1914 Creative Park (Ministry of Audit)
This is a key development base for Taipei's cultural-creative industry, with facilities for meetings, exhibits, and performances. There is also a creative weekend market and irregular outdoor concerts. It is a splendid showcase of local cultural creative artistic dynamism.

Day 3: Taipei – Taroko
Meeting Point: 08:30am The Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao. To be picked up by English speaking guide and drive to Taroko Gorge via the world’s fifth longest highway tunnel (12.9km) and the breathtaking east coast cliff highway. Photo stop at Chinshui Cliff. Arrive Taroko National Park, the only marble gorge in the world, and proceed to: Taroko Gorge Gateway, Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, etc. Overnight at Taroko National Park.

Hotel: Taroko Lakeshore (Ocean view room)

Day 4: Taroko - Scenic Mountain Road - Sun Moon Lake
After breakfast, drive to Sun Moon Lake via the picturesque Central Cross-Island Highway and Wuling on Mt. Hehuan , the highest spot (3275m above sea level) of the highway and the best place to have a panoramic view over the Central Mountain Ranges. Continue to Sun Moon Lake, a designated National Scenic Area, and drive along the lake to indulge yourself in the natural beauty all around, visiting Wen-wu Temple with beautiful lake view. Overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

Day 5: Sun Moon Lake – Tainan
Visit Holy Monk Shrine, Ita Thao, and Tse En Pagoda that dotted along the lakeside hill. Drive to Tainan, a historical capital city established since16th century. Arrive Tainan. Take a walking tour around Anping Fort, and old street area, which is one of the most historical streets. Immerse yourself in the blended atmosphere of traditional Chinese and modern Taiwanese culture. Overnight at Tainan.

Day 6: Tainan – Kaohsiung
Visit Chikan Tower (founded in 1653 by Dutch as the control center of Taiwan) and Confucius Temple (the first Confucius Temple in Taiwan, founded in 1665). And walk around this area. Continue to Kaohsiung. Visit the biggest monastery in Taiwan, Foguanshan Monastery. Visit the Main Shrine, and Buddhist Museum. You will have a light vegetarian lunch at the monastery. Drive to Kaohsiung City, the biggest city in the Southern Taiwan. Check in the hotel in the late afternoon. You can enjoy the beautiful night view when taking a stroll on your own, or visit the famous Liuho Night Market to have an understanding about the local night life. Overnight at Howard Kaohsiung.

Day 7: Kaohsiung - Lukang – Taipei
Visit Dragon & Tiger Pagoda; Spring & Autumn Pavilion at Lotus Pond. Enjoy some leisurely walk around Lotus Pond Scenic Area or enjoy a cup of coffee at a local café. Drive north to Lukang, visit Lungshan temple. Arrival at Taoyuan International Airport or hotels in Taipei (for those who have an post tour hotel accommodation).

* If clients don’t want to drop off at Taoyuan International Airport on the route, they will be transferred to Taipei City and make their own arrangements for airport transfer.

Note:
• Tour is based on SIC basis.
• The hotel check-in time in Taiwan usually is around 15:00 and check-out time is around 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out will lead to surcharge.
• Due to weather condition, in case of flooding and/or landslides in the mountainous region, we might modify the itinerary accordingly.
• If highway that connects Taipei and Hualien is closed due to the bad weather, we’ll arrange clients to take train from Taipei to Hualien. An additional surcharge for train ticket is AU$30 / NZ$32 per pax.
• For those who book optional Beach Escape Extension, the tour guide will take them to the Kaohsiung Railway Station on Day 5, and clients will take the public bus from there to Kenting (around 2hr) on their own. The bus will stop in Kenting directly in front of Chateau Beach Resort.
