Day 1: Arrive in Deer Lake.
Your journey begins at the Deer Lake Airport, where you'll pick up your rental car. From here, it's just a short drive to your hotel in Corner Brook. On arrival, check into your hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 2: Day free
Day free to explore Gros Morne National Park. At Hawke's Bay visit Torrent River Nature Park, watch salmon struggling upstream to spawn through underwater observation windows. Continue your adventure with a visit to Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse, Broom Point Fishing Premises. You will also get the chance to enjoy the Gros Morne Theatre Festival which runs from May 30 to Sep 30 each Year.

Day 3: Western Brook Pond Tour.
Western Brook Pond Tour offers travelers a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Day 4: Day free.
Today explore Arches & Archaeology. Head to Cow Head to visit the famous the Dr. Henry N. Payne Community Museum. Stroll Shallow Bay Beach. Only 30 minutes away, The Arches Provincial Park is the perfect place to have a picnic and relax as you watch the ebb and flow of ocean waves. The park is named for the rock arches carved by eons of tidal activity. Last stop for the day is Port au Choix National Historic Site. Find relics from four ancient cultures who lived and thrived in this rugged place many years ago. After exploring the exhibits, take a walk along the coastal trails and scan the waves for seals and whales. Drop by Bird Cove for a display on Captain James Cook, who charted this part of the coast before he became a famous South Seas explorer.

Day 5: Drive to St. Anthony.
Embark on a breathtaking journey by sea from Rocky Harbour to St. Anthony, and take in the beauty of towns like St. Paul’s, Parson’s Pond, River of Ponds, Port au Choix, Plum Point and Pidgeon Cove-St Barbe along the way! The journey will take approximately four and a half hours, so sit back and enjoy the stunning views of the gulf as you make your way through this magnificent maritime route. With many places of interest located along this route, it’s perfect for those who want to explore Newfoundland’s coasts. After you have reached your destination in St. Anthony, soak up all that this wonderful town has to offer including historical sites and remarkable sights!

Day 6: Explore St. Anthony
Today it's all about the Vikings. Just over 1,000 years ago, the first European settlement was built in North America, a place now called L'Anse aux Meadows - both a National Historic Site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby at Norstead Viking Village, reconstructed sod huts 'inhabited' by costumed interpreters help bring this historical place to life. Take time to visit the local shops and restaurants to round out your day.

Day 7: Discovery Tour and then drive to Port au Choix.
Start off your day with a Discovery Tour. You will have the chance to view stunning icebergs, majestic whales, playful dolphins, and colorful birds as you cruise through Bonavista Bay. As the tour winds down in the late afternoon, you will depart for Rocky Harbour brimming with memories of your morning adventure. During your travels to Rocky Harbour, enjoy breathtaking views of Newfoundland's beautiful landscape and local fishing villages.

Day 8: End of the Viking Trails Self-Drive tour.
This morning, check out of your hotel and drive to Deer Lake. On arrival in Deer Lake, drop your car off at the Rental Depot.
