Feel the spirit of adventure or simply relax and discover a culture with a welcoming smile.

The Western province is made up of 11 main islands, and has stunning aerial views of islands and lagoons, and the fabulous underwater world where the visibility for both the diver and snorkeller is so good. The area was once home to the head hunters and skull shrines can still be found.

Zipolo Habu Resort is located on Lola Island in Vona Vona Lagoon, about 20 min by scenic boat ride from Munda Airport. It is in a quintessential Island Paradise with a wide range of accommodation options to suit a variety of budgets and many activities in and around the resort including fishing, snorkelling and various excusions.

Day 1: Arrival in Paradise
Arrive at Munda Airport and enjoy a scenic 20-minute boat ride to Zipolo Habu Resort on Lola Island. After settling into your air-conditioned bungalow, take a leisurely stroll around the island or relax on the beach. Spend the evening enjoying a welcome dinner at the resort, surrounded by breathtaking lagoon views.

Day 2: Explore Skull Island & Vona Vona Lagoon
After breakfast, embark on a morning boat trip to Skull Island, where you’ll explore the sacred warrior shrines of local chiefs. In the afternoon, enjoy a Vona Vona Lagoon excursion. This 3-hour boat ride will take you through Blackett Straits, with visits to the traditional carving village of Boiboi and the stunning Diamond Narrows.

Day 3: World War II Historical Tour
Choose the half-day World War II tour and visit battle sites, including a fully intact US tank, Japanese bunkers, and the wreck of a Japanese freighter. Dive deep into the history of one of the most significant Pacific conflicts. The rest of the day is yours to relax at the resort or take a sunset kayak in the lagoon.

Day 4: Mantaray Island Adventure
Spend the entire day on Mantaray Island, where you can snorkel in crystal-clear waters and enjoy world-class fishing. Unwind on the deserted island, experiencing its untouched beauty before returning to the resort for dinner.

Day 5: Departure
After a relaxing breakfast, enjoy your last few hours on Lola Island. Take a morning walk or enjoy a refreshing swim before your boat transfer back to Munda Airport.

Optional Activities (Additional Cost):
• Rainforest River Trip: Explore the lush lowland rainforest by boat, home to exotic birds and saltwater crocodiles.
• Kolohite Island: Escape to a secluded island for a half or full day of snorkeling.
• Hura River and Sasavele Village: Boat ride through the scenic Hura River and visit the traditional Sasavele village.
