Day 1: Lima
Welcome by your host and private transfer to the selected hotel. Along with a local host, you’ll stroll through one of the best markets in Lima, where you will taste native fruits and local “market ceviche”. On this route, you will learn about the history and evolution of ceviche, tasting from the very traditional to the most innovative fusions, to prove that both greasyspoon ceviches and those from award-winning restaurants, all have a unique
charm to them.

Barranco is the heart of Lima's art and bohemian culture. Home to the most prestigious art galleries, cultural bars, and live music venues, keeping the beautiful architecture of the late 19th - early 20th century almost intact in its oceanfront, cliffside neighborhoods. You will enjoy some of Peru’s most traditional recipes, elevated to a gourmet standard and served in a setting like no other - right next to an ancient archaeological site embedded in the middle of the modern metropolis.

Day 2: Lima
In Callao, we'll find a blend of several cultures, as it is home to the main port and airport of the country. Steeped in history, you’ll see colonial fortresses, European-style squares, urban art, and excellent seafood. The tour will begin at La Punta, a beach town located on a small peninsula very close to the port. Then, you will visit the artistic part of the area: Callao Monumental. The epicenter of urban art houses new and edgy art galleries and classic seafood restaurants that have rehabilitated a once-blighted area.

Accompanied by a local host, you will learn how to prepare and taste different versions of our flagship drink: pisco sour, macerated pisco, and signature cocktails in your favorite Barranco bars full of good stories and top-rated bartenders.

To top off the day, dinner will be in one of the best Latin American restaurants specializing in Nikkei food, the fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines. This tasting menu promises to reinvent your palates.

Day 3: Sacred Valley
Upon arrival at the city of Cusco, your private transportation will take you directly to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to avoid altitude sickness. A unique experience to start your days at the Sacred Valley on a high note. Maria del Pilar and Joseph, third-generation giant white corn producers, will welcome you to their beautiful colonial hacienda. With them as guides, you will live a unique experience on a working farm. You will learn firsthand about the exclusive giant white corn of the Sacred Valley (the only one in the
world with a protected designation of origin!), its production, and life at the hacienda. The hosts will also spoil you with a corn-based lunch based and other local ingredients.

You’ll continue the day visiting the town and ruins of Pisac. Perched above the valley, Pisac is one of the largest archaeological complexes in the area and showcases the Inca incredible architectural skill. In the town at the bottom of the same hill, a colorful crafts market will offer great photo and crafts shopping opportunities.

Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
After a hearty breakfast, starts the long-awaited excursion to Machu Picchu. An hour and a half trip by train and then half an hour by bus will lead you to the citadel for a guided tour that, on average, lasts three hours. There you will savor amazing views and learn about the Andean life of centuries past.

In the afternoon, you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, your private transportation will take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 5: Sacred Valley
Along with your guide, you will hike to this little-known but impressive waterfall, with a height of over 260 ft. Feel free to bring your bathing suit so you can take a dip in the pond under the waterfall: it is a unique sensation. Later, you will have a special experience that will allow you to taste the roots of the Andean culture: an ancient lunch prepared in an underground stone oven by the hand of the Melo family in Patacancha community. While the land does its work and the food is cooking, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and learn about the textile techniques and traditions with the Melo family. Then, you’ll witness the unearthing of the food and enjoy a lunch surrounded by nature and beautiful views.

Day 6: Cusco
This morning you’ll get to know the work of a brilliant agricultural engineer, belonging to a family of local farmers, who decided to turn his tubers into the new stars of Peruvian gastronomy: he devised ways to enhance the oca, a tuber rich in antioxidants and natural sugar, and turn it into a drink that we are sure you will love. Once you have tasted these unique wines, you will be treated to meal in Manuel’s own home, where a more traditional way to prepare the local delicacies will be showcased. Later, you will visit the stunning terraces of Moray and the salt mines of Maras. If you prefer to make this day a little bit more active, we can arrange this visit as a biking tour.

Day 7: Cusco – Lima
The tour begins with a visit to the gastronomic heart of Cusco, San Pedro Market. You will learn about and taste incredible Andean products such as tamales, local fruits, cheeses, and bread. You will continue strolling through the city, experiencing it as if you were a local. You’ll visit the main sites such as the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, Koricancha temple and San Blas neighborhood. Picnic lunch will be served at Qenqo, a charming forest on the hills overlooking the city. After lunch, you will explore this beautiful Inca megalithic temple accompanied by your private guide.

Day 8: Cusco– Lima
You will have a free morning to explore Cusco on your own. You may want to visit some of the local museums, shop for souvenirs and gifts, or just capture some snapshots around town. At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima.
