Situated within remote Zimbabwe, Hwange National park is the country's largest park, covering an area of 14 600km2 (more than 5,600 square miles). This large size leads to varying game and landscapes. From the desert scrubs on the edge of the Kalahari, to granite hills, woodlands filled with mopane and teak, as well as wide grass plains fringed by palm trees and acacias. This landscape diversity allows for a flourishing wide range of wildlife. With over 100 species of mammals and almost 400 species of birds, Hwange National Park also contains one of the largest Elephant populations in the world. Other rare animals regularly spotted include the Roan and Sable Antelope. With an abundance of food, massive herds of buffalo can also be spotted traversing Hwange’s grass plains.

Robins Camp offers an exciting revival of the iconic safari destination in Hwange National Park. Robins Camp is situated in the rugged northern Basalt area of the park, an area rich in natural water with seeps and springs dotting the area. It is the home to some of the last great buffalo herds in Africa, with herds of over 2000 still seen. Given the abundance of prey animals, it is no wonder that it also has the highest concentration of lion in the Park. Robins is also known for big populations of reedbuck, roan, sable and tsessebe as well as the usual herds of elephants and other species encountered in the Park. Particularly encouraging are the regular sightings of both Cheetah and African Wild Dog.

Day 1: Arrival at Robins Camp
Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport. Roundtrip transfer to Robins Camp (approximately 2 hours). Check-in at Acacia or Mopani Chalets. Lunch at the camp, enjoying local cuisine. Welcome orientation and introduction to camp staff. Evening game drive (3 hours) to spot wildlife such as elephants and buffalo. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp.

Day 2: Game Drives and Nature Walks
Early breakfast at the camp. Morning game drive to observe wildlife and photography opportunities. Return to camp for lunch. Guided nature walk to learn about the local flora and fauna. Relax at the camp or enjoy bird watching. Dinner under the stars, followed by storytelling around the campfire.
Day 3: Full-Day Safari Experience
Depart for a full-day game drive with packed lunch. Explore diverse landscapes, including grass plains and mopane woodlands. Spot the big five, including the elusive African Wild Dog and Cheetah. Return to the camp for dinner and share your day’s experiences with fellow adventurers.

Day 4: Wildlife Observation and Cultural Experience
Breakfast at the camp. Morning game drive focusing on specific wildlife species like the Roan and Sable Antelope. Lunch at the camp. Visit a local village or community project to learn about the culture and daily life of the locals. Return to the camp for dinner. Optional night drive to see nocturnal wildlife.

Day 5: Departure
Early breakfast at the camp. Last morning game drive or relax at the camp. Check-out and transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport. Departure or continue your travel in Zimbabwe.
