The Nepal Panorama trek takes place in one of the many undiscovered remote trekking places in Nepal. Most people are only aware of the popular regions Annapurna, Everest, and Langtang. However, this area is in central Nepal that is unknown to adventure tourists because it does not have ‘tea houses’ or ‘lodges,’ or trekking tour operators do not promote these areas. Therefore, the Nepal Panorama trek is genuinely one of the best-secluded trekking routes in a non-touristic part of the Nepal Himalayas.

This region is ideal for families and elderly adventurers, as the altitude doesn’t go above 2100 meters, and daily hiking is 5-6 hours at a relaxed pace. This trek is also suitable during the winter months as the height is not too high (by Himalayan standards).

You will be trekking in a part of Nepal with a rich history of how the last dynasty came to rule Nepal (be prepared for an unofficial story that is “hushed’). It is also one of the favorite recruitment grounds of the world-renowned Gurkha soldiers.

We will operate this trip on a ‘luxurious’ expedition-style camping trek. We provide all camping equipment, porterage or pack animals, trek leader, assistant guides, a trekking chef, and helpers. We will give a three-person tent for every two trekkers, a dining tent, a toilet tent along with a portable toilet seat, shower tent, like on all our treks. We will be giving you the best service that is available in the whole of the Himalayas.

Day 1 - Welcome to Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu airport. Our representative will meet and bring you to your hotel. You will meet the rest of the group for your trek briefing.

Day 2 - Drive to the starting point of the trek. 7 hours drive
We will begin our drive early in the morning after breakfast. We will take the major highway that connects Kathmandu with the majority of the nation. We will be going west of Kathmandu with a stop at a historic part of the country where the last dynasty of rulers took rein. We have one more hour of driving from this historic place to get to our destination for the night. Thus, we have a total drive of around 7 to 8 hours, even though the entire journey is about 170 km. Our trekking crew will have our campsite set up, and hot beverages will be served upon our arrival

Day 3 - We start our trekking adventure from today
We will be woken up with a hot drink in our tents by our team, followed by a warm water bowl for washing/shaving, etc. You will need to pack your duffel bags and vacate your tent before coming for breakfast. Weather permitting, the panorama of the snow-clad peaks is stunning. Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, Boudha, Manaslu, and the Annapurna range are visible. We start our hike with an uphill climb. We will pass a couple of settlements to Tuppo Bhanjyang 2100 meters in about 90 minutes after beginning our trek. Then, we go westwards on a fair-weather road as we descent slowly amidst pristine agricultural land and small hamlets. Our kitchen crew will “speed” past us and will be preparing lunch on the route. We will have a relaxed lunch before proceeding to our final stop at a Gurung village. 1630 meters. 6-hour hike.

Day 4 - Trek to Ghumli Chowk. 1400 meters 5 hours hike
We follow the same ‘protocol’ of getting woken up with a hot beverage, packing up before breakfast for the next few days of our camping trek. We descent for about 45 minutes to a small ravine, cross a Himalayan glacier melt river. This river is also a natural boundary between two districts. We have a steep climb for about 75-90 minutes until we reach a Gurung village in the Char Thar area. After that, our hike continues on the fair-weather road till we get to our lunch spot, where our support crew will be making hot lunch for us. After that, we continue trekking for another hour until we reach our stop for the night

Day 5 - Trek to Journey. 1980 meters. 6-hours hike
We begin walking this morning on a ‘flattish’ terrain for 45 minutes to a small stream. Then, we start our ascent from the stream through Alders, Oak, Rhododendron forest. This is a lovely route to be hiking in a mixture of woods that is alive with birds and wildlife. We will get glimpses of Himalchuli and Boudha Himal today. Our kitchen crew will stop by a water source to make our lunch along the trail once again. We will have a long relaxing lunch stop before continuing our hike to our stop for the night. Our walk today is mostly uphill in beautiful surroundings.

Day 6 - We are in a location with a lovely Panorama
We start our hike on undulating terrain for one hour before we descend past some small hamlets. We will pass a school on the way which we can visit. We have to ascend after the village school. After that, our kitchen staff will stop at a village to make our lunch. After that, we continue to trek mostly uphill in forests or Oak, Lapsi (Nepalese Hog plum), Chestnut, and Rhododendron forest. You will get to experience walking on village trails in the forest. The woods are ‘alive’ with several birds such as White Crested Laughing Thrush, Kalij Pheasants, and deers. Some villages say there used to be wild rabbits in the recent past too. Our stop for the night is where the “Grand Panorama” of this trek is. So, come on this trek and learn how broad the panorama is (we assure you that it is not common knowledge).

Day 7 - We have breakfast with one of the broadest panoramas
We provide you with an option of continuing to hike to the road head or with an opportunity to do a tandem paraglide flight close to the trek ending point. This is not the regular/standard paragliding part in Nepal. So this is another unique experience pioneered by us. The hikers will have three hour downhill hike and meet with the paragliders for lunch. Then, we have lunch and drive back to Kathmandu. We have a 5-hour drive back to Kathmandu

Day 8 - International Departure or Continue your adventure in Nepal
Your guide will bring you to the airport three hours before your international flight time for your onward journey or we can continue your Nepal adventure in another area.

Notes from the tour providers in Nepal:
This trip focuses on providing local employment and professional development. We pay fair wages and ensure good working conditions. We support local businesses, and our tours benefit the local community. We practice inclusive and non-discriminatory hiring, connect travellers to local culture, products and activities and work hard to create as authentic an experience as possible. We participate in carbon offsetting and act to protect and preserve the environment and employ a “leave no trace” policy.

This trip promotes tourism dispersal by taking you to a more remote, less-trafficked region of West Nepal.
Our trekking chefs use superfood ingredients to give our trekkers the much-needed nourishment after a rigorous day of hiking. In addition, our wellness meals help to strengthen the immune system.
This trekking expedition provides employment opportunities for many locals as all camping gear, equipment, and food need to be carried by porters or pack animals.
We filter our water on the trek, reducing the need to boil water using kerosene (unless guests ask for hot water)

Special precautions:
We take our trekkers away from the crowds of the popular trekking areas to provide a “high value, low impact” experience to the people and environment we bring you to. This form of sustainable tourism is no longer a luxury but an absolute necessity, especially in the wake of COVID.

Socially Distant:
We have handpicked areas that are less busy or off the beaten path, where a small number of other trekkers might appear on the trekking trail. Even on the popular routes, our trekkers will be experiencing authentic Himalayan cultures with Social Distancing. We have chosen the night stops in the less busy villages or lodges that are either slightly away from the busy ones to allow social distancing easily. Our team provides a “Private Social Bubble” for as long as it is possible. However, on the popular sites/points for views, monuments, etcetera, we will meet the other trekkers/tourists. Your trek leader will suggest going very early in the mornings or later in the evenings to avoid the crowds, but the final decision lies with you.

Extra Sanitation Measures:
Our team provides hand sanitiser before each meal and with increased frequency throughout the trek. In addition, we are the first and only company that uses biodegradable toilet bags for our camping treks.

Wellness on the Trail:
Our usage of superfood on our wellness adventure has consistently helped our clients to boost their immune systems during and after the trek. In addition, the trekking team prepares various healthy and nourishing meals and purchases fresh organic food along the trail.

Food and nutrition on the trek
We are pioneers in gastronome trekking in the Himalayas. We provide a varied, interesting menu on treks throughout the Himalayas. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals can be catered for upon request, and other special diets can be accommodated with advance notice.

Trekking is not only fun, but it is beneficial for you. It helps in detoxifying the body while also nourishing the soul. Although to provide a better experience, we also tailor our meals to include superfoods as part of the ingredients to keep you fit and healthy while also assisting in acclimatization to high altitudes. The combination of hiking in the pristine mountain air and healthy food makes trekking with us a complete culinary adventure.
