• A safe journey that will fill with joy the souls of those who enjoy it and those of us who make it possible.

Day 1: Lima
Welcome by your host and private transfer to selected hotel. Your gastronomic journey will start in the most authentic way: tasting the world-famous ceviche, Peru’s flagship dish, in a local restaurant and according to the traditional recipe.

Barranco is the heart of Lima's art and bohemian culture. Home to the most prestigious art galleries, cultural bars and live music venues, it has kept the beautiful architecture of the late 19th - early 20th century almost intact in its oceanfront, cliff-side neighborhoods. This will be the setting for your coffee and chocolate tasting, an opportunity for you to discover how Peru’s soil and climate imprint a particular personality in these products.

Nested in one of Lima’s most modern residential neighborhoods sits this remnant from a distant past. Huaca Pucllana used to be a ceremonial and administrative center, built around a large mud brick structure. Tonight, you will have dinner at a fine restaurant located right next to this ancient monument.

Included: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Lima
You will visit a beautiful Franciscan Monastery and a colonial house dating back to the mid-16th century. In doing so, you’ll get a feel of the lifestyle of the time of the city's founding. You will get to know the city Main Square and walk through one of the busiest commercial streets in downtown Lima, Jirón de la Unión, towards Plaza San Martín.

You will have lunch in a famous restaurant that serves generous portions of Peruvian dishes in a setting with a theme entirely inspired by the second religion of Peruvians: soccer/ football. You’ll have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the city at your own
pace.

To top off the day, dinner will be in one of the best Latin American restaurants specializing in Nikkei food, the fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines. This tasting menu promises to reinvent your palates.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Sacred Valley
Upon arrival at the city of Cusco, your private transportation will take you directly to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to avoid altitude sickness. A unique experience to start your days at the Sacred Valley on a high note. Maria del Pilar and Joseph, third-generation giant white corn producers, will welcome you to their beautiful colonial hacienda. With them as guides, you will live a unique experience on a working farm. You will learn first-hand about the exclusive giant white corn of the Sacred Valley (the only one in the world with a protected designation of origin!), its production, and life at the hacienda. The hosts will also spoil you with a corn-based lunch based and other local ingredients.

You’ll continue the day visiting the town and ruins of Pisac. Perched above the valley, Pisac is one of the largest archaeological complexes in the area and showcases the Inca incredible architectural skill. In the town at the bottom of the same hill, a colorful crafts market will offer great photo and crafts shopping opportunities.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
After a hearty breakfast, you will begin the long-awaited excursion to Machu Picchu. An hour and a half trip by train and then half an hour by bus will lead you to the citadel for a guided tour that, on average, lasts three hours. There you will savor amazing views and learn about the Andean life of centuries past.

In the afternoon, you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, your private transportation will take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 5: Sacred Valley
Our first stop today is Ollantaytambo. This important town was home to the Inca emperor Pachacutec – and was the base for military victories against the Spanish conquistadors. After a cultural morning, you will head to an amazing lake surrounded by
snow-capped mountains. You will have an experience that will allow you to taste the roots of the Andean culture: an ancient lunch prepared in an underground stone oven.

You’ll witness the unearthing of the food and enjoy a lunch surrounded by nature and beautiful views. This pachamanca is led by cooks from the community who, over time, have merged their culinary tradition with the knowledge of professional chefs.

Later, you will visit the stunning terraces of Moray and the salt mines of Maras. There you will have the afternoon to rest and enjoy the incredible views these wonders offer.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 6: Cusco
The tour begins with a visit to the gastronomic heart of Cusco, San Pedro Market. You will learn about and taste incredible Andean products such as tamales, local fruits, cheeses, and bread. You will continue strolling through the city, experiencing it as if you were a local. You’ll visit the main sites such as the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, and Koricancha temple. You’ll have free time for lunch (we’ll be glad to offer recommendations), and to immerse yourself in the city at your own pace, or just spend a relaxing few hour in your hotel.

After lunch, you will explore this beautiful Inca megalithic temple accompanied by a private guide. Tonight, we will say goodbye to Cusco with a meal to remember: dinner at Cicciolina. This renowned cosmopolitan restaurant offers innovative dishes based on Andean tradition.

Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7: Cusco – Lima
You will have some time to explore Cusco on your own. At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Once there, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. To cap off your stay in Peru, you will have dinner in what essentially amounts to a modern take on the Peruvian taberna of old: a tribute to the traditional Peruvian spirit and flavors, to Peruvian grandma’s home cooking, and to the forgotten recipes in old notebooks, but elevated to high culinary standards now recognized throughout the world.

Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 8: Lima
You will have a free morning to explore Lima on your own. You may want to visit some of the city’s many museums and art galleries, shop for souvenirs and gifts, or just capture some snapshots around town. At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima.

Included: Breakfast
